History
The roots and history of Pilates exercise modality combined with it’s transforming results inspired our founder, Shakera Ghoor, to be more than a practitioner. After studying and training up to a professional level, Shakera launched the Fitness Fusion studio, and inspired by the success stories achieved with clients, she has continued to grow the brand into new spaces.
Launched Fitness Fusion Studio in a converted garage
Could accommodate 4 clients
Opened a second studio in Oaklands
Added additional Pilates equipment
Could accommodate 6 clients
First “Fitness Fusion Challenge” included workout classes and healthy meal guidelines
Expanded our Challenges to include healthy, sustainable meal plans based on your calorie requirements
These have been so successful that our participants now need to apply to join a challenge
New Comprehensive Challenge Option that includes all in-studio or online classes and all meals
Opened our new Houghton studio in January
March 2020 we had to close the studio
All classes were offered live online
First online challenge that included participants in the USA
Officially launched Fitness Fusion Food as a separate brand with a focus on healthy living and an expanded food offering

Shakera Ghoor
I love working with all my clients with their diverse goals. I tailor their challenges to their goals and share in their joy as their physical health, mental health and quality of life improve. It has to be the most rewarding job anybody could ask for, apart from being a doting mother to my two children. The most rewarding outcome that I see in clients is the increased confidence, increased mobility and profound increase in their quality of life.
Expect to work hard! Shakera believes when you set aside your hour for training, you need to make it count. her workouts are fun, challenging, focused, and purposeful making you want to come back for more!

Dani Moss
My belief in holistic health has driven my selection of training courses such as Pilates and Booty Barre training. Barre training is a fun, energetic, exercise methodology that combines dance, Pilates, and yoga. This make fitness challenges fun while giving my clients super-toned, defined and chiselled bodies! Watching my client’s positive self-awareness and mobility grow is such an uplifting experience. As their muscles lengthen and strengthen so do their lives and relationships.
